Although Glasswaters supports the children in the Save Blessing Child Home and the Early Childhood Development Center, the children are individually sponsored by North Americans for their educational needs.   $250 - $300 a year covers everything relating to their education:  tuition in a private school, uniforms, books, exam fees, etc.    The tuition rises as the child progresses to higher grades.  100% of the donated funds goes directly to the child’s educational needs.  The money raised through sponsorship is important, but more important is the potential relationship built between the child and the sponsor.  In Nepal I watch the children delight in letters, photos and sometimes small gifts from sponsors.  Many North American sponsors delight equally in drawings, school reports and correspondence from ‘their’ children.  You can get to know ‘your’ child.  Currently, the children are sponsored by generous donors in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

Donors have contributed in many ways, including sponsoring a trek for the children, buying solar cookers, providing art supplies and musical instruments.

100% of Donations made specifically for the children of ECDC or SBCH will go directly to the project.
